Erin Roby, a developmental psychologist, studies skills critical to children's social and academic success, such as social cognition and language, aiming to identify factors that support these abilities. Her research spans lab, community, and applied settings, focusing on preventive parenting interventions to reduce poverty-related disparities. She has co-authored papers on the SMART Beginnings model and received an NIH NIMHD K01 award to implement parenting interventions, like PlayReadVIP, in underserved rural areas.
